Editing

I first put my film footage onto Adobe premier pro but after looking and playing on the Apple Macs I transferred my footage over to the macs straight away. Thie editing software was a bit harder to use than the Adobe Premiere Pro as it was harder to get used to.
I transferred the footage from Adobe to the Macs using a USB stick to transfer it and then I had to start the editing again as it pushed all of the pieces of film together. I then filmed some more footage and uploaded it straight to the Apple Macs which was a simpler process than uploading the footage to Adobe Premiere Pro
The transitions on the Apple Macs were much easier to use and looked far more professional so when editing it I used a lot of fade to black and exchanges of photos. It was also easier to cut and edit the sound and add sound effects which weren't available on Adobe Premiere Pro. Using the desaturation tool on the Apple Mac was a lot easier to applie than using Adobe Preimiere Pro where it was time consuming to try to change colours in the pictures. I used a heart beat sound effect to create a sense of tension and I also used a sports car sound effect for when one of the cars sped past.
I used Garage Band to add music to my trailer which I created in Garage Band. I cut the music and used the fade tool to fade the music in and out when I wanted it to leaving seconds between the places I wanted to fade.

  1. You have worked really hard throughout Kelly and your production reflects this. Well done for showing such a proactive and independent approach to all the challenges.
